Saturday before Easter Sunday
Today was John Wesley's first experience hunting Easter Eggs. We had so much fun. At first he didn't know what to do. He would take the eggs out of the basket when we were trying to teach him how to put them in. Later, he started getting the idea. I think he had more fun watching the older kids find them...too much to look at, and he so desperately wanted to be like them. We kept trying to hold him up and help him walk, but he was determined to try on his own, but obviously couldn't even stand alone, he tried so hard...
He also loved the Easter Bunny and didn't even cry! He actually thought he was pretty funny, while some of the other kids cried. He drank Hawaiian Punch, and ate a sugar cookie for snack time.
He was so exhausted from all the playing, he went to bed early and was pretty eager to lay down. Looking forward to tomorrow. Can't wait to see him at church in his little Easter outfit that his Gee Gee got him.
Hope everyone has a good Easter!

Nearing 11 Months Old...
Can't believe it has almost been a year since John Wesley was born! Last Weekend we went to Lanett, Al. to visit Uncle Lafayette, Mamie, Thomas, Ellen, Catherine, John Thomas, Steve, Tracy, Courtney, and Sam. We had so much fun. Gee Gee, Grandad, Seth, and Jordan also came; so, it was nice to visit with everyone. Uncle Lafayette was honored by the United Methodist Men at church, and recieved a very nice plaque with his picture on it to remind others of the dedication and hard work we should have for our church and for Christ. What a great example he is to other Christians. We also went through some old family photos, and had many good laughs over times past. In the meantime, John Wesley and John Thomas played together for the first time. They haven't seen one another since Jordan and Seth's Wedding and John Wesley was 2 weeks old. John Wesley and John Thomas enjoyed being together and had a lot to say to one another even though we didn't understand everything they were talking about...haha. Here are a few photos of them playing...I am sure they will both get into trouble when they get a little bigger, both of them were into everything! Thank goodness Mamie, Uncle Lafayette, and Thomas were a good sport about them being so curious.

My Little Man
Well, JOHN WESLEY IS GETTING HIS 9TH TOOTH! I can't believe it, they are coming in like hot cakes! He is starting to put his food into his mouth by himself, and is holding his own bottle like a big boy. This past week he said MaMa and Bye-Bye...so we are now saying Pa Pa, Da Di, MaMa, and Bye Bye. He is also able to pull up and has been since Jan. but still not brave enough to let go and try to walk...although he will walk if we hold his hands. Gosh he is just growing up tooo fast, and only 2 months to go until his is 1 YEAR OLD! I love being a mom, and I can't imagine life without this Little Man...!

9 month check up
We took John Wesley to see Dr. Carlson yesterday. His ears are clearing up from the double ear infection, and now we just need to get rid of his sinus infection. We found out that he does have Excema :(, but should clear up more in the warmer months. We can help control it by his foods and thicker lotion. He on target and a little above where he should be developmentally, and Dr. C said that he could be walking anytime within the next month! He weighed 20 lbs 4 oz, and was 28 1/4 inches long. He had his last round of Hepatitus yesterday, and we got him a seasonal flu shot since Kevin and I both work with a lot of people. The doctor said the only way he could get the flu is if we bring it to him...and the flu has just started entering Georgia.
He is now climbing off and on his bike all by himself, and will stear his bike like he is driving! He is also dancing anytime music comes on t.v. or on the radio...it is so funny watching him dance!

9 Months old!!!
WE CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JOHN WESLEY IS 9 MONTHS OLD! He is getting so big, and has such a sweet personality. He is so much like his Daddy, and loves cars....but is like his Mama because he loves music and reading! These 9 months have flown by, and we can hardly believe he is big enough to pull up and push around toys...he is so funny and we often hear him humming to himself. Who would have thought this little bundle of joy we brought home from the hospital would cause us to redecorate so much...we have broken 1 lamp, torn several magazines and books, learned how to take the toilet paper roll off the holder, can open and shut doors, and climb on top of suitcases just to pull on the drapes...who would have thought? Being parents is such a joy, and we can't imagine life any different, nor would we want it to be...it is the hardest thing to do, but the most wonderful and rewarding thing to experience. We are so proud of John Wesley, and are excited to watch him grow, and look forward to another great 9 months!

John Wesley's first Cold
We had to take John Wesley to see Mrs. Mary today. He has two ear infections and a sinus infection. We are on an antibiotic and a decongestant with a humidifier. Poor baby...Mommy and Daddy feel so bad for him.

John Wesley Caught Red Handed!
While I was emailing everyone a new picture of John Wesley and I, I knew I hadn't heard him in about 2 minutes...well to my dismay...I caught him RED HANDED....he pulled an entire roll of toilet paper off the roll and was ripping it to shreds...lots of fun for mommy to clean up...John Wesley on the other hand thought it was fun!
Guilty as Charged!
Ripping it to shreds...
And now we are trying to eat it!

Well...Kevin and I picked up John Wesley today from his Grammy's and he has 6 teeth! Four on the bottom now (2 we did not know about), and 2 coming in up top (we did know about this!). He is getting such a personality...he just laughs at us when we talk silly to him, and he rambles on and on in jibberish just like he is telling us all about his day. I love being a mom, it is days like this when we are home as a family that I wish time would just freeze so he could stay like this forever, and we could be young forever...but then I remember how much God has blessed us. I can't wait to see what He has in store for us in the future...I can't imagine life any better than this!
